Zoe Neale, Ph.D.
Dr. Neale is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who provides psychological evaluation services and evidence-based cognitive-behavioral treatment for adults. She believes in using a compassionate and culturally-responsive approach to assessment and treatment in order to accommodate the complexity and diversity of each individual's needs. Dr. Neale obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and completed her pre-doctoral clinical internship at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Boston Healthcare System. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in traumatic stress at the National Center for PTSD in Boston, MA. She has specific expertise working with individuals with posttraumatic stress disorder, addiction, and mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Neale has worked in a variety of settings, including the PTSD clinic and Women's Trauma Recovery Team at VA Boston, the substance use treatment programs at the Richmond VA and VA Boston, the Neuropsychology Clinic at VA Boston, integrated primary care psychology at VCU Health and the Anxiety Clinic at VCU. Dr. Neale also conducts research focused on the relationship between genetics, alcohol use, trauma and the brain across the lifespan.
