Eric Hinesley, LCSW
Mr. Hinesley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked for over twenty years with children, adolescents, and families. He provides individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults as well as family and couples therapy and parent consultation. He provides consultation to child welfare agencies and other professionals about best practices. Areas of specialty include parent-child attachment and bonding, foster care, adoption, relationship/couple therapy and complex trauma. Other clinical interests include anxiety, depression, emotional health, young adulthood & college students, men's issues, Level 1 Autism Spectrum Disorder and technology. He provides LGBTQIA+ affirmative care. Mr. Hinesley primarily utilizes techniques from two evidence-based therapies within a relational framework: the Circle of Security® and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
Mr. Hinesley earned a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed licensure training at the Mary Ainsworth Attachment Clinic and Circle of Security® Network. He completed internships at Virginia Treatment Center for Children and Child Protective Services. He previously directed a therapeutic mentoring program and has worked in community and school based mental health services.
Mr. Hinesley is the Clinical Director of attachment based services including the Attachment-Based Parenting Intervention at Partners in Parenting. Additionally, He provides board approved clinical supervision for those seeking licensure.
