Tia Albia, Ph.D.
Dr. Albia's background in mental health stemmed from a passion to bring culturally-competent resources, interventions, and assessments to racial and ethnic minorities, with an additional focus on assessment and treatment of trauma in those communities. Past clinical work includes Safe Shores DC Children’s Advocacy Center, Children’s National Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders, Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, and the Virginia Treatment Center for Children.
Dr. Albia obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and is eager to bring her experiences in bilingual neuropsychological evaluations, culturally-competent treatments and interventions, and integrative health care/consultation-liaison to Partners in Parenting.
